This DVD chronicles the history of University City, founded in 1906 by magazine publisher Edward Gardner Lewis as a city of fine residential neighborhoods, educational institutions and culture; through years of growth, depression, building boom, urban decline and urban renewal. This is the story of how University City became the center of diversity, arts, history and culture that it is today. Produced for University City's centennial year by the Commission for Access and Local Original Programming (CALOP).
